Best of The Fest

Camaro & F-Body Fest 2026

Best of the Fest

The ultimate Camaro and F-Body Fest challenge for the competitor who can take on the full weekend: HPDE, drag racing, autocross, and the car show.

Beech Bend Raceway Park Bowling Green, Kentucky July 9–11, 2026

One car. Four disciplines. One overall winner.

Best of the Fest is one of the most exciting awards at Camaro & F-Body Fest. This is where the most well-rounded competitors get the chance to prove they can do more than shine, more than make one fast pass, and more than run one strong lap.

Camaro Fest x Ultimate Street Car Association

For 2026, we have teamed up with the Ultimate Street Car Association to make this award even bigger. The Best of the Fest winner will also earn a free entry to a USCA event.

This award recognizes the competitor who takes on the full Camaro Fest challenge and comes out on top — and now it also opens the door to compete with the Ultimate Street Car Association.

Who Is Eligible?

Anyone with an All-In Pass is eligible to compete in Best of the Fest.

There are no generation-based or performance-based sub-classes for this competition. It is a true run-what-you-brung format. You will be scored against the other Best of the Fest competitors, regardless of Camaro generation, build style, or performance level.

Required Vehicle Identification

To be recognized as a Best of the Fest competitor, you must display the Camaro Fest / OSS windshield banner on your car.

You must also place the USCA sticker next to the OSS/Camaro Fest banner. This allows event staff, judges, and officials to identify your vehicle throughout the weekend.

Competition Requirements

To compete for Best of the Fest, you must complete all of the following:

  1. Participate in the HPDE at NCM Motorsports Park.
  2. Receive a recorded time at the drag strip.
  3. Compete in the Best of the Fest autocross class.
  4. Receive a score in the car show.
Points will be awarded for each component. The competitor with the highest total points at the end of the event will be crowned Best of the Fest.

Winner Award Package

  • An engraved glass crystal trophy.
  • A Gift Card of $250 from Operational Speed Supply.
  • A free entry to a USCA event through our partnership with the Ultimate Street Car Association.

Points System

Points are awarded based on placement among Best of the Fest competitors only.

Category Scoring Maximum Points
HPDE Completion only: 20 points or 0 points 20

Autocross 1st = 50, 2nd = 48, 3rd = 46, decreasing by 2 points per position 50
Car Show 1st = 50, 2nd = 48, 3rd = 46, decreasing by 2 points per position 50
Maximum possible score: 170 points.

HPDE at NCM Motorsports Park

The HPDE portion takes place at NCM Motorsports Park on Thursday, July 9, 2026.

This is where Best of the Fest competitors begin proving that their car is more than a showpiece. To receive points for HPDE, you must complete a minimum of one HPDE session.

  • Participation in more than one session will not earn additional points.
  • HPDE laps are not timed for Best of the Fest scoring.
  • Complete the requirement = 20 points.
  • Do not complete the requirement = 0 points.
  • There is no partial credit or graduated scale for HPDE.

Drag Racing

Drag racing takes place at Beech Bend Raceway Park.

Best of the Fest competitors must receive a recorded time at the drag strip. This is your chance to put power, traction, setup, and execution to the test.

  • Your fastest recorded pass of the weekend will be used for Best of the Fest scoring.
  • You may compete in any eligible drag racing class.
  • Your Best of the Fest drag racing placement is determined only against the other Best of the Fest competitors.

Autocross

Autocross takes place at Beech Bend Raceway Park.

Best of the Fest competitors will compete in their own Best of the Fest autocross class. This keeps the competition clear and allows Best of the Fest drivers to be scored directly against each other for this portion of the award.

  • Your fastest recorded autocross time from the qualifying sessions will be used for Best of the Fest scoring.
  • Cone penalties and DNFs will follow the standard Camaro Fest autocross rules.
  • Autocross scoring is based on your fastest valid time compared to the fastest valid times of the other Best of the Fest competitors.

Car Show

Best of the Fest competitors must have their vehicle formally judged in the car show.

This part of the competition gives competitors a chance to show the complete build, not just the numbers on a timing slip. We understand that Best of the Fest competitors are participating in driving events throughout the weekend, so this is not strictly a cleanliness contest.

Judging should focus on the overall vehicle, including:

  • Performance modifications
  • Build quality
  • Functionality
  • Presentation
  • Styling or theme
  • Overall execution

Tie Breaker

If two or more competitors finish with the same total points, the tie breaker will be determined by the highest autocross finish among the tied competitors.

If a tie still remains, the next tie breaker will be the highest drag racing finish among the tied competitors.

If a tie still remains after autocross and drag racing placement, event officials will make the final determination based on overall participation and event completion.
