Media Credential Guidelines & Approval Criteria

1. Purpose of Media Credentials

Media credentials are issued to qualified individuals and organizations to provide professional coverage of Camaro & F-Body Fest while ensuring safety, fairness, and event integrity.

2. Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet at least one of the following:

  •          Operate a recognized automotive-focused platform (YouTube, podcast, blog, etc.)
  •          Be a freelance photographer/videographer with a proven portfolio

3. Application Requirements

All applicants must submit:

  •          Full name and contact information
  •          Media outlet/platform name
  •          Links to active platforms (website, social media, YouTube, etc.)
  •          Examples of recent, relevant work (automotive or event coverage preferred)
  •          Description of intended coverage (photo, video, interviews, live coverage, etc.)
  •          Estimated audience reach and engagement metrics
  •          Previous event coverage (if applicable)
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.

4. Approval Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

  •          Relevance – Focus on automotive, motorsports, or car culture
  •          Reach & Engagement – Audience size and interaction (not just follower count)
  •          Content Quality – Professionalism, consistency, and storytelling ability
  •          Event Fit – Alignment with Camaro & F-Body Fest brand and atmosphere
  •          Coverage Value – Likelihood of meaningful exposure for the event
  • Approval is not guaranteed and is limited based on event capacity.

 

5. Credential Types

Media credentials may be issued in the following tiers:

  •          General Media
  •          Access to public areas and designated media zones
  •          Photography and video permitted in approved areas
  •          Trackside Media (Limited)
  •          Restricted access to trackside or hot areas
  •          Requires prior experience and safety acknowledgment
  •          Featured Media / Partner
  •          Expanded access including potential behind-the-scenes coverage
  •          Reserved for select outlets or sponsors

6. Rules & Conduct

All credentialed media must:

  •          Follow all event staff and safety personnel instructions
  •          Stay within approved access areas at all times
  •          Wear visible credentials while on-site
  •          Conduct themselves professionally with attendees, drivers, and staff
  •          Avoid interfering with event operations or participants
  •          Obtain consent before conducting interviews

7. Content Usage Expectations

Approved media agree to:

  •          Provide coverage that reflects the event accurately and professionally
  •          Tag and credit Camaro & F-Body Fest and relevant partners when possible
  •          Avoid publishing misleading, unsafe, or damaging content
  •          Event organizers may request select media assets for promotional use (with credit).

8. Safety Requirements (Trackside)

For any restricted areas:

  •          Mandatory safety briefing (if applicable)
  •          High-visibility vest may be required
  •          No access during active sessions without authorization
  • Failure to follow safety rules = immediate credential revocation.

9. Credential Revocation

Credentials may be revoked at any time for:

  •          Safety violations
  •          Unprofessional or disruptive behavior
  •          Misrepresentation during application
  •          Failure to follow event rules

10. Application Timeline

Applications will be collected up to 2 weeks before the event. Applications submitted after that time will not be considered.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.  Application response time may vary.
